Telehealth
Here at Psychological Services of Pendleton we provide the option for telehealth services for our patients. Each clinician approaches telehealth a little differently depending on their preferences and what works best for you as the patient. Below you’ll find some general rules we ask all individuals to follow for their telehealth sessions.
Rules
-
Keep it Private
Have a private space available for you during your telehealth session. Try to remove distractions such as other people or animals so that you can focus on your therapy. Privacy is also necessary as therapy is a very personal experience. For this reason we also ask that you not be in public during your session.
-
No Driving
We ask that you do not drive or ride in a vehicle during your telehealth session. Therapy is involved and can be quite emotional and can take your attention from the road potentially causing an accident. For this reason we do not allow a telehealth session while you are driving or riding. Being a passenger is also not allowed as it is not a private space and telephone service is often spotty while traveling.
-
Minimize Distractions
We live in a connected world, one that can reach at any time. We ask that during your session you silence your phone, or put it on “Do Not Disturb” mode. Turn off any music, flashing lights, televisions or any other electronics that could distract you.
Remember, if you are unable to find a suitable space for telehealth, our office is open for in-person therapy!
Requirements
For the best telehealth experience we recommend the following
A comupter/laptop or cell phone with a webcam/camera
A strong, consistent internet connection or cellular reception
Access to a web browser such as Chrome or Safari
If using a desktop computer you may need a dedicated microphone and set of speakers.
Links
Below you’ll find links to each clinicians’ telehealth lobby. Simply follow the link 5 minutes before your appointments start time. Enter your name and click the “Check in Button.” From there you’ll be in a digital lobby where your clinician will join you shortly. If there are any questions or trouble setting up, please contact the office and we will do our best to assist you. Please keep in mind that telehealth links are only for currently established patients with scheduled appointments and cannot be used for emergencies or as an open dialogue to the clinicians. If you would like to become a patient or schedule an appointment please call out office to get started!
